Review of Archaeological Research in Angola

This article examines the historical processes that shaped development of archaeological practice in Angola during Portuguese colonial period and aftermath political independence. Using published works, unpublished reports, photographic records, we examine research themes, actors, scholars, institutions influenced country. We also used documents museum collections Portugal to create a GIS database Angola’s findings. study highlights events, personalities, priorities motivated earlier investigations, geographical distribution prehistoric sites. hope this will be resource for guiding future Angola.
